Spanish 2

UC Scout World Languages are based on the themes of Global Challenges, Beauty and Aesthetics, Families and Communities, Personal and Public Identities, Contemporary Life and Science and Technology. UC Scout World Languages are standards and proficiency based, weaving the California World Languages Standards, Communication (Interpersonal, Interpretive, and Presentational), Cultures and Connections with the ACTFL World-Readiness Standards Comparisons, and Communities into each level of instruction.

This course includes conversation development surrounding familiar topics such as celebrations, living arrangements, using technology, preparing and ordering food, and awareness of other languages and nationalities. Both semesters cover topics such as shopping, movies, musical Instruments, healthcare, food choices, texting, cooking, geography, languages, fairs and parks, routines, trip planning, roommates, shows, emailing, recycling, and watching shows. This class is taught mostly in Spanish with English scaffolds. RECOMMENDED PREREQUISITE: Spanish level 1.
