Register for AP® Classroom

AP® Classroom is an online platform where you can access free practice resources. The assessments on the AP® Classroom site are intended solely for practice and review. There is no grade for completing them. It is a valuable resource for preparing for your AP® Exam.

  1. Register for a new College Board account or log into your existing account at myap.collegeboard.org
  2. Join your UC Scout section in AP® Classroom using the Join Code you will find in your UC Scout AP® course (please ask your instructor if you cannot locate it)

Register and Pay for the AP® Exam

Taking the AP® Exam with UC Scout

UC Scout is authorized to host your AP® Exam. You will be able to register for the AP® Exam from the UC Scout AP® Classroom. If you choose not to take the exam through our program, you must contact your local AP® Exam-providing institution, which in many cases will be your local high school.

To be eligible to register for your exam with UC Scout, you must complete two steps:

  1. Register in AP® Classroom with UC Scout. This step can be completed now through your MyAP account.
  2. Submit payment to UC Scout. Detailed payment instructions will be provided to those who have completed their AP® Classroom registration.

 

Taking the AP® Exam with Other Institutions

If you would like to take the exam with your high school or another institution, follow these steps:

  1. Visit the AP® Course Ledger to find a high school that's been authorized to offer AP® exams.
  2. Get in touch with the school's AP Exam Coordinator and ask them to create an "Exam Only" section in College Board.
  3. The "Exam Only" section will not give you access to the course materials available in the UC Scout AP® Classroom. It will only give you the ability to register and pay for the exam.
  4. Continue to follow up with the AP® Exam Coordinator as needed to make sure you meet registration deadlines and are prepared to take the AP® Exam in May.
